Before approaching Clicksmith, Guernsey Marinas did not have a website, and needed an online presence that would provide a wealth of information, both technical and with a tourism slant.
One of the main aims was to attract more visiting yachts and sailors to the Victoria Marina – the only dedicated visitors’ marina in Guernsey.
Another was to provide local boat owners with a place to manage their moorings and berthing online.
We created a bespoke content-managed website that caters to both visiting & local boat owners, using engaging, high quality video & photography, both shot by Clicksmith, to showcase how well-equipped the marinas are, and how much there is to see and do in and around the marinas, and in the surrounding islands.
We built a ‘berthing’ application form that worked dynamically based on the type of boat owner (visitor or local).
As the website contains a lot of information about ‘what to do’ once you arrive in Guernsey, it was important that the website performed well on mobile devices, the most commonly used method used by visitors for looking up information.
Clicksmith also created the branding for Guernsey Marinas.
