Izzy's week at Clicksmith: a creative shake-up

My week of work experience at Clicksmith has been an amazing opportunity.

From my first day in the office the team has been friendly and welcoming, each member of staff has taken their time to introduce themselves and their role, explaining the programmes they use and showing me their work and projects they are currently working on. It was really interesting to get an insight into what goes on behind the scenes of what you see on social media.

Throughout the week I have been given various exciting opportunities to work on different tasks from different areas of the agency. I have been able to have a go at writing social ads for clients, sitting in on meetings and creating graphics for social posts on Adobe Illustrator, as well as having the opportunity to join in on a video shoot which was a great experience, I even got to feature in the video which was fun!

After being briefed by different members of the team and completing each task I received valuable feedback from each of them and ways I can improve my work in the future. It was evidently clear to me that the team was eager to help me learn with their patience and helpfulness.

Overall my time at Clicksmith on work experience as a sixth form student was an unforgettable experience allowing me to gain experience and skills within marketing. The team’s kindness and understanding has made me feel motivated and excited at pursuing a career in marketing in the future. I highly recommend work experience at Clicksmith to anyone who is looking for a valuable placement within marketing with a fun and supportive environment.

Thank you to the team at Clicksmith for having me!
